This is a self-study course with a timed online test. The book is not included and should be purchased separately.
This course is based on Chapter 3, "Electric Elevators", of the Elevator Maintenance Manual, 2nd Edition by Zack McCain (not included). The Traction Elevator Maintenance Course counts as 3.5 contact hours (0.35 CEU) towards recertification.

Learning Objectives - By studying the required materials to take the exam the reader will have had the opportunity to learn the safe and proper methods for performing service, cleaning and light repair on traction elevators.

Testing Procedures:
The exam databank consists of 84 questions which are all multiple choice. 80 questions will be chosen at random and the candidate will be allowed 90 minutes to take the test. For the $50.00 fee the applicant will be allowed one (1) retake.
